Discover Snæfellsnes

Stykkisholmur is a brilliant hub from which to explore the Snaefellsnes Peninsula. Snaefellsnes has been named Iceland in Miniature, because so many national sights can be found in the area, including the Snæfellsjökull volcano, regarded as one of the symbols of Iceland, located only an hour from Stykkisholmur. Snæfellsjökull was made famous by Jules Verne as the setting for his novel ‘A Journey to the Centre of the Earth’.
