We are a small and friendly family run hotel. Situated in the old village, only a few minutes walk from the picturesque harbour of Stykkishólmur. The village is set on the beautiful north coast of Snæfellsnes Peninsula, made famous by H.G. Wells in ” Journey to the Centre of the Earth”. The hotel has 11 rooms, 9 double and 2 single, all with en suite bathroom. Some of the double rooms are spacious enough to add a bed or two, accommodating for families.The hotel has two balconies, one which has been converted into a conservatory, where guests can enjoy the view over the old village or just relax and watch the world go by.

In the village there is a 9 hole golfcourse, situated in an open field surrounded by hills and wild berryland. The name of it is Mostri, which is rather special, named after a viking settler whoes name was Þórólfur Mostrskegg. The use of the golfcourse is complimentary to the hotel guests.

We do have internet access, including wireless connection

Winter closure

The hotel is closed over the dark winter months. We will open again in the spring. Thanks to all our wonderful guest, hope to see you all again soon.

We are currently taking booking for the summer of 2008.
